So Who Would win? :Daredevil VS. Bronze Tiger

TGIT!!!!!

So I was re-reading Kevin Smith's awesome run on Daredevil, and I gotta' say it was really, really good. Seriously, if you guys haven't checked it out yet, go do it. Smith shows off why he excels at handling the more down to earth, street-level heroes, and DD is no exception. Now I won't give away the surprise villain of the Guardian Devil story-arc(even though you can Google it) but if you read the whole thing and put the clues together, you might be able to guess who it is.

So with DD fresh in my head, I decided to put this little contest together.

So here's the quick rundown on our contestants:

Daredevil:

Other than his radioactive-enhanced senses, minus sight, DD is just a regular, albeit highly-trained guy in a world of superheroes and super-villains.

He's trained in numerous disciplines of martial arts like Ninja, Kick-boxing, regular boxing, and other various forms of martial arts.

Bronze Tiger:

Just a regular, but also highly-trained fighter himself, the Bronze Tiger is one of the DCU's premier martial artists/fighters around, even besting the legendary Batman himself.

In other words, a very select few can even hope to compete or put up a decent fight when going against BT.

So, who would win in a fight between the two?

As usual, write in who you'd see win in the comments section of this post.

Personally I'm not 100% sure; on one hand Daredevil's heightened senses can help him dodge/block a good number of hits BT can dish out, but that'll only work for so long as eventually BT will find an opening and score some good hits.

BT has his own degree of heightened senses due to his training with multiple masters and also when he wears his tiger mask, he achieves a very zen-like killer focus.

So, let the speculation commence.....

Finally, just in case you were wondering, The Authority won their fight against the Criminal Syndicate of Amerika in an overwhelming landslide of 4-0. Yeah, I figured the Authority would win anyways due to superior numbers and firepower, but I'm sure they'll at least put up a decent fight for a bit.

And that's me for this week.
Have a good weekend people......

Top 5 Songs: Gorilla Grodd edition

TGIT!!!!!

Wow. Where to to start. Well a few of you know I've had computer problems since last week. Well my C-Drive shit the bed, and I lost all my files. Let me repeat that, I lost ALL MY FILES. That means all my pictures, music, porn, and anything and everything else....all gone. So I'm currently using a backup drive from a good friend of mine in the meantime. I wish I could point out a particular thing I did, or than you know, smacking the laptop, but that didn't do. I think;)

Anyhoo, all this once again reinforces the practice of always saving your work and files if you have the room.
And also, I'm going to start having a reduced presence as far as this goes. From now on, I'll be on the kind of schedule that Shlomo or Omega Agent keep, not everyday, but often enough to not wonder where the hell I've gone.

So that's where we stand. I'll now return you to what was supposed to be last Thursday's post already in progress.....

So I bought the new DC Unlimited Planet X Batman yesterday. You guys know who that is right?
It's the Batman of Zur-Ar-Nah, or Planet X from the 1950's, and whose identity was brought back by Grant Morrison during the whole Batman: R.I.P story-line a few years back.

Well this guy looks amazing, front paint and sculpt to detail and the standard articulation deal. Plus he has his trusty warped baseball bat and a darker, repainted Bat-Mite. This Bat-Mite sports a slightly different face than the previous one, but is still cool as fuck.
So yeah, super glad to own him.

And now onto today's edition of the Top 5, as it's being guest-hosted by that psychotic, mind-manipulating carnivore, Gorilla Grodd.

Take it away Mr. Grodd....

"Greetings you hairless sacks of meat, it is I, your superior in all things, Gorilla Grodd.
For some inexplicable reason, I've been chosen to guest host this week's edition of the Top 5. Well don't get used to it human scum, because such guest-hosting is utterly beneath Grodd.

"So it appears that today's band choice is the British Pop Rap group, The Gorillaz.

"Are you being serious right now? Seriously right? The Gorillaz? Honestly?

Right. So here are the Top 5 songs from this horribly and quite offensively -named band, The Gorillaz:

5). "Feel Good Inc."

If that insane laugh track doesn't get you going, the rapping and back beat to this dance track song definitely will. This is one of their songs that also quickly found itself as the soundtrack of many commercials upon its release. Good for the pretenders, hurrm.

4). "19-2000"

Apparently this song was so popular it was used in several commercials around the time this song was released. As catchy as it maybe, it's still primitive human music to me, and thus offends Grodd.

3). "Gravity"

Not a bad melancholy song, that speeds things back up with some heavy base thrown in there like an empty banana peel.  Hmm,"Gravity" indeed. Perhaps I or my associates in the Secret Society should show these fools the true perils of gravity.

2). "Tomorrow Comes Today"

Had a bad day puny humans? Tired of your shallow and empty lives? Maybe you should listen to this song then. It'll feed you all the false hopes and promises of a better day ahead....for whatever good it'll do you once Grodd reigns supreme!!!!!
But yes, not a bad song. Not bad at all.

1). "Clint Eastwood"

\

This would be the song that launched the Gorillaz's careers in the first place. With a pleasing low-tempo-ed beat even Grodd could move his massive frame to,  Clint Eastwood was and still is, a massive hit with you disgusting, hairless mammals.

I hope you enjoyed this little exercise in humiliation for me and my ape-kind. I promise you retribution for this is coming fast and hard!!!

What!? What's so funny? Because I said "fast" and "hard"? Really?
For such insolence, you'll be the first human I kill and eat, but I'll do it very slowly. Very slowly.

Grodd out.

So Who Would Win? The CSA vs. The Authority

Happy, Happy Hump Daaaaaay!!!!

So what's up people?

Well today I decided after much mental debate, to choice the two teams you just read in the title to face off against one another,

The Criminal Syndicate of Amerika VS. The Authority

Now to set this up, I'm talking about using  Grant Morrison's Earth-2 CSA, and Warren Ellis' Authority only. No other watered-down versions need apply!

So, here's the roster and skinny on each team:

Criminal Syndicate of Amerika:

-Ultraman
-Superwoman
-Owlman
-Johnny Quick
-Power Ring

VS.

The Authority:

-Jenny Spark
-Midnighter
-Apollo
-The Doctor
-Swift
-Jack Hawksmoor
-The Engineer

Now right off the bat, yes the CSA is outnumbered 7-5, but that doesn't mean the CSA isn't powerful or cunning enough to either quickly even the odds or cheat like the motherfuckers they are to neutralize some members of the Authority.

The power-sets are pretty much even steven, especially since Apollo, Midnighter, The Engineer, and Swift easily match up perfectly with Ultraman, Owlman, Power Ring, and Johnny Quick.

Another thing to keep in mind is the downright ruthlessness and really, the eagerness by both teams to kill.
That factor right there cannot be stressed enough; neither side has any qualms whatsoever in killing someone. Simple as that.

So then, who do you think would win; The CSA, or The Authority?

Let me know what you guys think in the comments section.

And now for some quick random thoughts:

-If you haven't already heard about it on the news, there was a believed terrorist attack that occurred during the Annual Boston Marathon last week. Dozens, and dozens were injured, with only two casualties so far.
Regardless of who's to blame for the bombings, its more important to consider and say a prayer or some well-wishes for the victims and their friends and families. After all blind hatred doesn't fix or help those who suffered from the attacks, it means someone else's family and friends will have to experience the same pain as the victims due to retaliation.

-On a lighter note, Free Comic Book Day is just around the corner; two weeks to be exact.
Now depending on my own personal plans, I might have to miss out on the happy occasion, but don't worry because Mr. Morbid will get something even better than free comics: Guaranteed Booty!!!!! Just sayin; is all;)

-I'm now halfway through the 1st season of GoT. As I said in the comments section, it's alright, but I'm not going out shouting to the rooftops "What have I been missing?" Yeah not gonna' happen. But it is a solid show so far. I can't believe Lord Stark just resigned from being the King's Hand, and then a very funny scene occurred where this guy called The Mountain, got so pissed at being knocked off his horse from a gay knight(no, he really is) that he cut his own horses' head off before going after the knight. Unintentionally funny, but a laugh's a laugh to me. Damn that was hilarious!!!!

-Finally, I just finished watching the horror movie, The Collection by the makers of the Saw movie franchise.

As you'd expect, there were very clever death traps, especially in the beginning alone, but the ending was a big let down. After a pretty good fight scene, the bad guy just gets jobbed out in the end, supposedly falling to his death, where we see he's set on fire and lit up like a christmas tree. But then after the cops survey the wreckage, only the partially burnt mask of the villain is found. You then have to really watch one of the deleted extras to catch what happens after that. Now while it is funny to see a hero get the drop on a villain like the hero does, it just sucks to see the main baddie get built up into this smart as fuck, unbeatable monster. Only to get jobbed out later on. Kind of reminds me of the villain-of-the-week on Arrow, only on a much larger scale. WTF!? The bad guy is either really badass and stays that way or the villain's set up in such a way we know he'll fall, but it'll make sense, rather than just happen conveniently. And trust me, I consider this guy a super-villain because of the death traps and supposed genius. Oh and did I mention he winds up being an Entomologist? Yeah, a bug doctor basically.....

"No Country For Old Men"

Hey, it could happen;)

Lastly, I just now got around to watching the first two episodes of the 1st season of Game Of Thrones.
Yeah I know, I know  "What took you so long?" or "You're just now watching that?"

Well it's not like I haven't heard of it before, especially from Googum, I've just never watched it because it was on a channel I don't get, and I wasn't that super interested in seeing it anyways.
But I kinda had to this time, because a good friend of mine burned me the 1st season, so late last night I watch the first two episodes. Not bad, but I still don't see what the hype's all about. Peter Dinklage is pretty damn cool though; I love the wit and personality of the guy, so I'm sure we'd probably chase some whores and booze together if the opportunity ever arose.

I must say, I'm currently crushing on that white-haired chick, Emilia Clarke. She's hot and she's naked already just two episodes in? Love it. So, so far, so good. I'll let you guys know how I feel about the rest of the season.

Take it easy people......

"Freeride"

So, it's Monday again? Already?

Well then in that case.....

Pretty much, this yeah.

Well at least there's a new skit today.
Today I finally make use of the free bike I was given from Barry @ Nuklear Comix(thx again man!) as we see Batman doing his thing.

Enjoy:)

The End

Let's see, what else?
Oh yeah, the results of last Thursday's poll; Who won, The Rogues or the Secret Six?

Well according to the comments section, it's the Rogues, 4-2.

Any comments about that Secret Six?

See? Now that's real sportsmanship right there.

What else?
Oh yeah, here's the latest swag list from this weekend:

-DCUC Gentleman Ghost(very hard to find mind you)
-Marvel Legends Silver Centurion Iron Man
-DC Unlimited Hawkman

Yes, I know, I know; I basically gave $ money to the enemy and the reboot by buying a NU52 figure. But in my defense, his look as an action figure really grew on me to the point where I just had to buy him. I missed on him before, but yesterday got a second chance, so fuck it, I bought him. I still maintain that outside of original artist and costume designer Philip Tan, no one else has done that costume justice when it comes to the comic book representation. That being said, the figure looks cool as fuck, so there.

And yes, there will be a skit with him in it in the not-too-distant future.

Could these new blasphemous versions of our beloved heroes be slowly winning me over? Possibly. Now I won't change my stance on how I feel about the reboot as a whole; it sucks ass and was totally unnecessary, but the figures are not that bad. So maybe I might add Batman and the Flash to my collection, and maybe Superman, but that might be stretching things.

I'll let you know how that goes.

"Closing time. You don't have to go home but you can't stay here."

Well..... I kinda always knew this day would come, and it sure has. It's been a hell of a ride, but it's time to for it end. Ti...
